Adventures in thrifting....

The best part about thrift stores is that you never know what you'll find. I guess the same can be said with most stores, however, you also are bound to get a bargain. Yesterday my husband, son and I cruised on over to my favorite thrift store on the hunt for... well, just on the hunt. There were so many great mid-week finds that the hardest part was saying no.
Chandelier

I couldn't leave without this amazing wrought iron chandelier that holds both candles and  plants. It's already aged to perfection and will look great hanging from a tree somewhere in our backyard. I'm thinking about putting different colored upside down wine bottles in the candle slots and then planting some contrasting color like red. Hmm, so many fun ideas.

My other finds included: a pair of snow boots for my son, a long sleeve nice sweater for my husband, two pairs of jeans new with tags for myself, four books, three shirts, a a sweatshirt all for $40. There was also an amazing vintage stool that I loved, but I let it go. Another woman snatched it up the moment I walked away. That's how it is with thrift stores; you have to grab what you love pretty fast. What have you found this week?

  1. Hi Alexis! Nice to meet a blogger so close to home! Great work getting your water catchment for the chicken coop drawn up! I'd love to hear about it when you get it done!
    Blessings,
