Some weeks really do just get the better of you. I know this week has been a trial in personal fortitude, resolve and patience and I've certainly failed portions of it. Getting caught in a snow storm, breaking my tire chains, appliance deliveries getting messed up, muddy chicken runs which find their way onto clean kitchen floors. You know, the kind of week where the world seems set against you.
To combat my battle with my week I've been taking extra baths, escaping to my books and venting to a sympathetic friend or two. The week isn't over yet, but it can't end soon enough for me. In the meantime I'm trying to turn things around. I figure at worst it will all be over soon and these are the weeks that give us stories to tell our children. I'll leave you with a quote if you, like me, are having a week you feel like you need to "survive."
