Today we'll be picking up twin girls. For confidentiality reasons I can't disclose too much. However, I can say that they are three, adorable and we feel so blessed to have gotten the call, especially so close to Christmas. We are running around like crazy people trying to assemble all the added goodies to make the girl's Christmas as special as it is for our son. We are now a family of five!
This is going to be a long journey my blog followers. We are looking at probably at least a year of ups and downs and unknowns. The girls are not legally free, they have family visitation still and so we won't have any guarantees going into this. What we do have is love, stability and courage. Courage to face the challenges and the uncertain road ahead. Love to give to two virtual strangers who need us. Stability to guide them and show them the way a family should and can function.
We still have some rose colored glasses and high hopes and hope that we can keep that positive spirit throughout. However, I know that my dear readers will be there to support us should we falter. You will be with us along the way and I thank you for that. I will update everyone soon!
Oh my gosh, I totally got goose-bumps. Congratulations! What a Christmas present for your family. I hope all goes well and they become legally free for your family to adopt. How incredibly exciting. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for you all and what a Christmas present! Hope to meet the little ladies soon and if you need anything please let us know. :) Merry Christmas to all 5 of you!
