Growing lemons inside.....

Last year I was very excited to purchase a lemon tree for our dining room. After some trial and error I found that the sun was better in our master bedroom. The tree was somewhat dormant through winter but we did get a few blossoms a few weeks ago. This morning I was very shocked to see teeny tiny lemons starting. It's such a fun process to watch!

Today there is a light snow falling. A reminder that winter is still upon us and it will be a while until our spring begins. That isn't stopping me from catalogue shopping and garden preparation. Today Mr. Rural is removing a large construction pole that was left in our yard when we purchased the house eight years ago. After the pole is removed we can start building the greenhouse. I am giddy with anticipation.

Other projects that I'm working on are prepping the worm bins, gathering materials to build a new and improved compost pile, and starting some indoor herbs. Though it's still early I can't help but get some things moving. It's progress!
