It's been a year since we first took the plunge into chicken ownership and we've loved every minute. We started with three girls (Mabel, Maude and Ethel) and quickly added three more (Dorothy, Gertrude and Harriet) who all now live together in their 9'x12' walk in run with two Eglu Go houses. They also free range our garden when we are home.
Chickens are a lot easier to own than one might think. Food, clean water, a little love and voila...eggs. We average six eggs a day in the warmer weather but still get 2-3 when it's snowing. For our family of three that's more than we eat and we are happy to share with neighbors and friends.
